The Faculty of Economics was established in 1993 by Professor Doctor Josif Constantin Drăgan, with the desire to offer the people of Lugoj the opportunity to pursue university-level economic studies in Lugoj.

History

In 1998, the first generation of bachelor's degree economists graduated, and in 2004, the accreditation for the bachelor's program in Finance and Banking was obtained. Starting in 2005, the faculty adopted the Bologna system: 3 years of bachelor's studies with 180 credits and 2 years of master's studies with 120 credits. The first generation of master's students graduated in 2005, and in 2008, the accreditation for the Financial Management master's program was obtained. In 2012, the Faculty of Economics accredited four postgraduate programs for training and continuous professional development.

Currently, the Faculty of Economics offers only accredited programs, both bachelor's and master's, evaluated by ARACIS with the rating "trust," as well as postgraduate programs for training and continuous professional development: Bachelor's: Finance and Banking, 3 years, 180 credits Master's: Financial Management, 2 years, 120 credits

Future vision

Graduates of the Faculty of Economics acquire the skills to occupy positions such as:
  • Economists, economic advisors, economic consultants, economic officers,
  • Specialists in finance, banking, insurance, and public administration: tax inspectors, financial auditors, tax consultants, certified accountants, real estate appraisers, financial-banking analysts, credit administrators, client advisors, loan officers, bank managers, customer relations managers, branch managers, insurance brokers, insurance inspectors, public servants, etc.

    "The study programs of the Faculty of Economics offer graduates the opportunity to receive advanced training in the economic field, being useful both for those who wish to pursue a career in the private sector and for those who are considering working in the public sector. With the skills acquired during their bachelor's, master's, and postgraduate studies, our graduates currently hold important positions in numerous public institutions or commercial, financial, or business companies in Lugoj, Timișoara, Buziaș, Făget, the Timiș County, and neighboring counties."

    Veroniki Holding

    Grupul Drăgan a luat naștere în anul 1948, odată cu înființarea ButanGas SpA în Italia. În prezent activitatea Grupului Drăgan este coordonată de Veroniki Holding, structură unică de coordonare, fondată în acest sens, în anul 2010, de către doamna Daniela Veronica Gușă de Drăgan.
