Ensuring the Quality of Academic Activity

Ensuring the quality of academic activity is today an essential way for UED to demonstrate the responsibility it assumes in its relationship with society and with the primary beneficiaries of the social value it creates.

With over 25 years of activity, the European University "Drăgan" in Lugoj stands out through recognition and prestige within the landscape of Romanian higher education. Founded through the initiative and contribution of Prof. Dr. Josif Constantin Drăgan, who remained grateful to his native land, the University has contributed to the revival of Lugoj, an old and traditional cultural center of Banat.

The European University "Drăgan" is an investment in education, a strategic factor in development and in the multidimensional shaping of human potential. The primary focus of the European University "Drăgan" is quality. To achieve this, we rely on competent professors, talented and ambitious students, and a well-equipped material infrastructure.

The integration of information technology into each academic discipline has been a continuous priority. In this way, graduates are able to practice their profession immediately after completing their studies.

In parallel with teaching activities, we promote and support research activities, which serve as the University's hallmark. Each Faculty develops a scientific research plan and an editorial plan, while the academic community actively participates in various national and international conferences and symposia. Furthermore, each Faculty has established strong connections with the social and economic environment.

If up until now we have built a modern University, in the future, we envision Lugoj as a renowned University Citadel.

The European University "Drăgan" in Lugoj is one of Romania’s private universities aiming to diversify aspects of student life. Through numerous discussions with students, we identify their needs and respond promptly to their requests. During their studies, we offer students various opportunities for professional development, including participation in the "Company of the Year" competition within the BizzFactory educational incubator, collaborations with the Regional Business Center Timișoara (CRAFT), and numerous career counseling and guidance activities through the UED Career Counseling and Guidance Center (CCOC).

Beyond career counseling activities, UED also facilitates employment opportunities for students within prestigious companies.

Regarding the institution’s graduates, we focus on monitoring their integration into the job market and ensuring their access to University-organized activities. One specific action to support our students is facilitating their employment in companies with which UED has established partnership agreements.

The European University "Drăgan" in Lugoj offers undergraduate, master's, and postgraduate studies. Attracting students to all three types of study programs is a central objective of the University’s activities.

When discussing the University's structure, we consider a wide range of factors—from the quality of education to UED’s recognition at national and international levels, from scientific research activities to the impact of faculty publications in the socio-economic environment.

The process of ensuring and continuously implementing quality management at the institutional level is based on UED’s ongoing development, ensuring the optimal functioning of all quality assurance components within the University.
